This is the sulpher spring near where Patrick Hagan built his mansion named Hagan Hall in 1860. Patrick Hagan was born February 2, 1828 in Dungannon Ireland. He named the nearby town Dungannon, after his home in Ireland, which means "Fort on the River Gannon". There was a large spring house here, but all that is left is the spring box and the hand cut stone foundation. Patrick walked to this spring every morning to get a drink from the spring. Hydrogen sulfide gas bubbles from this spring, giving it a smell of rotting eggs. The spring is about 100 yards from the highway along a old forest service road.
The Sulpher Spring is a 7th maginitude of flow spring.
